Blog N°5: My future job
Hello everyone, today I will talk about my future job. I think if I had been asked a year ago, things would be clearer. I am currently in my final year of the Psychology degree and I am going through a vocational crisis LOL. I think I would have liked to study Social Work, which would feel much more comfortable. Within my career I have specialized in the community area. It's the area that has in love with me, I hate the clinical area, I find even questionable. I really like being able to work with people, with the community and not individualize mental health problems, which in the end are just a symptom of the disease of the type of capitalist society, sexist, homophobic, racist, classicist society that ends up making people sick. I imagine a job at a COSAM, where there is a biopsychosocial model, which combines individual and group therapy with work outside the institution, which incorporates the community in order to create healthy communities. I would love to be able to work outside Chile, I think of countries like Canada, Norway, Denmark or Australia where there is a much more developed community model, Where the government really cares about the practice of facilitating the implementation of this model and not as in Chile that there is only one plan but that in practice poses many difficulties to develop it. I don't think much about the salary, but I think since I'm alone and I don't have to support anyone, with $800,000-$900,000 I'm fine.

I share a lot what you say, I would like to travel to those countries to learn how they do it :o haha
