Blog N°6: Postgraduate Studies

Hello everyone, today I will talk about some postgraduate course that I would like to take in the future.

I've thought several times about whether to take a postgraduate course or better give up the idea, and honestly I'm not sure yet. At present I question very much the type of student of psychology that the University of Chile prepares for the future. It prepares students so that they are academic and researchers and leaves aside the fundamental of the practice in the psychology career and that's why I question if I want to keep on doing this in a postgraduate course. 

But if I put myself in the case of following the studies, I would do so because nowadays it is not only enough to have a professional degree, one must always continue to perfect. I would like to take a course on community intervention techniques and community mental health but with a very practical approach. I would study in Chile so that the knowledge is much more contextualized but since I would like to leave the country, it would also be interesting to take a course in that same country. I would like to work and at the same time study to be able to generate income to pay for the course, although if I get a scholarship, it would be wonderful. In addition to that, it would be useful to study and at the same time be able to apply it in your work, I think it is in the best ways to be able to learn.
